Scholarship

Each year, The Community Players of Salisbury, Inc presents scholarships to one or two graduating seniors from local tri-county high schools in the amount of $500 each. To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must have demonstrated an interest and an aptitude in the theatre, been involved in previous Community Players endeavors and he/she should be planning to pursue post-secondary training in some facet of dramatics. Economic need is also a factor which will be considered for eligibility.

Lindsay Gabbard
  • Graduate of Parkside High School
  • Pursuing Music Education at University of Maryland Baltimore County
Lindsay was in South Pacific with Community Players and was an active member of Parkside's Drama Department and the Wicomico County Musicals.

Lindsay participated in the Visual and Performing Arts Program, was President and Treasurer of Parkside's Drama Club, and is a member of the International Thespian Society.

Alana Troxell
  • Graduate of Pocomoke High School
  • Pursuing Music Theatre at Marymount Manhattan College
Alana participated in many CPOS musicals including: Matilda, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, South Pacific, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Into the Woods.

She was involved in various shows with LSPAC, Pocomoke High School and Ocean Pines Children's Theatre.
Alana also received the WeXL Honor of Scholstic Recognition.
