Edgar Allan Poe: The Dark Side
We dare you to experience Edgar Allan Poe: The Dark Side, a live, memorized, word-for word telling of the darker works of Poe. The first-person narratives allow the audience to capture the transformation of the storytellers, who will not only rely on memory, but also will use their acting skills for a very dramatic presentation. Featured works include The Tell-Tale Heart, The Raven, Annabelle Lee, The Imp of the Perverse, The Cask of Amontillado, and The Black Cat. Serving as moderators are three women from Poe's life: his mother, his wife, and his fiancé, They introduce each work and provide intriguing biographical details, speaking to Poe as if he were there in the audience.
